## 🧠 Postmortem – Tap Till They Die (My First Game!)

**Tap Till They Die** is my first completed game developed using Godot. It’s a fast-paced, hyper-casual 2D action game where you tap to slash through incoming zombies. I made it in around 20-30 days as a solo developer.

---

### ✅ What Went Right

- I finally **finished a full game** — that’s the biggest win!

- The **core gameplay (wave system + sword slash)** felt satisfying and responsive.

- Added a **blood effect** which really added some juice to the combat.

- Background music and game feel worked nicely together.

- **Godot basics** like nodes, scenes, collisions, and UI got much clearer to me.

- Managed to **export for Windows & HTML**, and fix early issues.

---

### ❌ What Went Wrong

- I **rushed the menu UI** — it could’ve been more polished and animated.

- Faced a **“failed to fetch” error** during HTML export, which delayed release.

- Unfortunately, I lost the project files completely due to a **Google account logout bug**, and couldn’t recover them.

- Game is short and could use more variety like enemy types or upgrades.

---

### 📚 What I Learned

- **Always back up your project files** externally (Google Drive, GitHub, or manually).

- Test export (especially HTML) early to avoid last-minute surprises.

- Polish matters — sounds, blood FX, and UI enhance player experience a lot.

- Simple ideas can become addictive if execution is solid.

##🎯What's Next??

I’ve already started working on a **new 2D game**, which I aim to take to the next level in terms of gameplay and polish.

More details will be revealed soon 😉
